Burnt Chef Challenge

For the month of March we are supporting
The Burnt Chef Project.

Did you know that 4 out of 5 hospitality professionals report having experienced at least one mental health issue during their career?

We are organising a step challenge fundraiser to raise funds for The Burnt Chef Project to continue to support our team's mental health and raise awareness of this important topic amongst the hospitality industry.

Burnt Chef recently conducted a survey of 1273 hospitality professionals which showed that 8 out of 10 (84%) of respondents had experienced mental health issues within their career and even more concerning 46% would not feel comfortable talking about their health concerns with their colleagues.

Burnt Chef provide education, support, and resources, to tackle mental health stigma and work to ensure the hospitality and leisure industry is healthier and more sustainable by focussing on people's wellbeing first. At Pairings this is something we take seriously. It's important that although mental health can't be seen, it is regularly discussed and policies reviewed

They are dedicated to creating change in the hospitality industry and we want to support that.

The Challenge

Throughout the month of March, our team will be taking on a step challenge and they will input their steps at the end of each shift. Within the 4 walls of our restaurant will be aiming to walk from Pairings to the Loire Valley which is just under 1000km. One team member will be crowned the step champion and Pairings will convert the miles into money and donate this to Burnt Chef.

How can you get involved?
If our customers would like to join us in supporting this brilliant charity, we will add an optional donation to every bill when you dine with us in March.
