New Perspectives, an exhibition of natural & man-made landscapes
Monday 5 August – Monday 4 NovemberCome and explore the beauty of the natural and man-made world through the work of contemporary landscape painter, Tessa Houghton and York-based artist and illustrator, Nathalie Smith. On display from Monday 5 August until Monday 4 November, ‘New Perspectives’ will delve into landscape and architect creations which will encourage the viewer to look at art and illustration in a new light. Tessa and Nathalie’s work will be on display in the wine bar as well as on the artist corridor which is located on the lower ground floor. The work on display is available for guests to purchase and can be ordered by contacting the creator of the work directly (their details will be next to each piece of work).
An evening with Chapel Down – England’s leading Wine Maker

Chapel Down produces a world-class range of sparkling and still wines, together with the award-winning range of Curious beers & cider. Their sparkling wines are created using the Traditional Method, the same as Champagne, from fruit sourced from the South-East of England. Join us and a representative from Chapel Down for an evening tasting three wines, a beer, cider and gin from their acclaimed range, each enjoyed alongside a paired small plate. We’ll discover the background of the largest winery and vineyard in England and why Chapel Down are one of the UK’s most exciting drinks companies. Tickets cost £40 and include paired food. Champagne Tasting with Pol Roger – SOLD OUT

Champagne Pol Roger has been producing exceptional champagne for over 165 years. The house remains family-owned and fiercely independent and although among the smallest of the great Champagne houses, it ranks with the very highest in terms of prestige and an uncompromising reputation for quality. Join us for a very special evening tasting a range of vintage and non-vintage champagnes hosted by a representative from Pol Roger. We’ll be guided through the rich family history and the company philosophy. Discover why Winston Churchill and the British Royal Family made Pol Roger their favourite champagne. Port Tasting with cheese and chocolate

Port is arguably the greatest of all fortified wines. So why do we only buy it at Christmas? Stand up and be counted Port-lovers! Join us for an indulgent evening tasting five fine ports in a variety of different styles each paired with a bite-sized cheese or chocolate canapé. Live Music with Rachel Croft
Every Sunday from 6.30pm
Join us each Sunday for some chilled-out live music performed by local singer-songwriter, Rachel Croft.
