A Taste of Northern Italy – Thursday 21 February, 7pm – £40
From Piedmont, through Alto Adige to Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Northern Italy is home to some of the greatest (and sometimes most underrated) wines areas in the world, with a rich history and geography. Join us to taste six fantastic wines from the area each expertly paired with food.
Exploring Chateau Musar – Tuesday 5 March, 7pm – £40
Chateau Musar is undoubtedly one of the most unique wine estates in the world. Single-handedly breaking Lebanese wine onto the international scene whilst retaining its’ own distinct personality. Pairings is proud to host an evening tasting a range of wine and vintages (alongside paired foods) in order to appreciate the variety the estate offers, and taste how age brings about incredible change in it’s already complex white and red signatures.
A Taste of Chile – Wednesday 13 March, 7pm – £35
No longer simply a bulk producer of supermarket wines; Chile has evolved into a nuanced and increasingly confident country creating incredible wines and is rapidly becoming trendy amongst connoisseurs. We’ll be tasting six wines with paired foods and discussing the history and modernity of Chilean wines.
Exploring Alsace with Famille Hugel – Thursday 28 March, 7pm – £35
We’re thrilled to have Charlotte, 13th generation of the ancient wine family, Hugel, with us to taste a selection of Alsatian wine, discuss why the region is so loved and cherished by sommeliers and wine lovers, and delve into the family’s history and their stunning range of wines alongside accompanying foods.
Wine Styles: Australia vs. New Zealand – Tuesday 9 April, 7pm – £35
Australia and New Zealand have revolutionised the world with their wines; and despite close geographical proximity, have wildly different climates, cultures, and therefore, styles of wine. Join us at Pairings to compare and contrast the two countries in six different wines, each paired with foods and see which you prefer.
Summer Food & Wine Pairings – Wednesday 22 May, 7pm – £35
With summer approaching, we thought that it would be the perfect time for us to discuss and present some classic – and some of our favourite – summer pairings for you to enjoy and to give you a few picnic and party ideas. We’ll be going through six different wines, each paired with food, talking about why they’ll pair, the best places to get them from and how to put together a perfect summer spread!
A Taste of Germany – Tuesday 4 June, 7pm – £35
Germany, like most of Europe, has been growing wines for centuries, but despite producing a huge range of scintillating and unique wines, little is drunk and has an undeservedly low reputation in the UK. Join us and discover an array of delicious wines that demonstrate the history of German wine and the quality that it creates today, paired with a range of delicious foods.
Exploring Tuscany with Antinori – Wednesday 26 June, 7pm – £40
Antinori is currently run by three sisters who represent the 26th generation of the oldest wine family in the world (tracing back to 1385). With their beginnings entangled into the fascinating history of Tuscany, they now have a range of wines around Italy and the rest of the world and have indelibly marked the wine world with their range which includes Tignanello, one of the great Super Tuscan Wines. We are joined by one of their representatives to showcase a delicious array of wines, paired with Italian foods and discuss the great family.
