From February 3rd until May 5th, 15 members from the York Printmakers will be exhibiting their work at Pairings Wine Bar on Castlegate in York.
Showcasing a wide range of printmaking techniques such as lino, wood cuts, collagraphs, screen printing and etching, the exhibition will give audiences the opportunity to get up and close to the work to discover works of art which examines the beauty of the natural and man-made world.
Greg Winrow who is overseeing the exhibition says “This is York Printmakers first chance to exhibit at Pairings and the group are really looking forward to the opportunity. We all have a shared passion for printmaking and hope audiences will enjoy getting up close to the work on display.”

Ellen from Pairings Wine Bar says “We’re delighted to have the York Printmakers exhibiting their work at our wine bar. Our guests have a huge appreciation for art and supporting Yorkshire makers. Over the last 14 months, we’ve been very fortunate to work with some incredible creative professionals, including Leeds-based ethereal landscape artist, Tessa Houghton and Licentiate of The Royal Photographic Society photographer, John Illingworth. Working with the York Printmakers is a real treat and we’re pleased to be collaborating with them. Their work is of high quality, suits the Pairings venue so well and will provide our guests with the opportunity to learn more about printmaking whilst enjoying a glass of wine.”
The York Printmaker’s exhibition can be found on the bar area as well as on the artist corridor on the lower ground floor. The work on display is for sale and can be purchased directly from the artist.
Pairings Wine Bar is open to view the art on display on Sunday to Thursday 12noon – 11pm and Friday and Saturday 11am – 12 midnight. For more information on the York Printmakers go to www.yorkprintmakers.org.uk.
