We’re thrilled to announce that we’re now taking bookings for our Festive Pairings Experiences which are perfect for families, friends and work colleagues looking to explore the world of fine wine in a relaxed and informal setting.
After receiving over 100 expressions of interests from artists and photographers from across Yorkshire, we’re delighted to be exhibiting the work of contemporary landscape painter, Tessa Houghton and York-based artist and illustrator, Nathalie Smith from Monday 5 August until Monday 4 November.
Coming up to the Christmas period, wines of all kinds are being pushed in shops and supermarkets with cliché titles like ‘festive fizz’ and ‘winter warmers’ etc, and it is the perfect season for those big, bold reds that are a) suited to rich holiday foods and b) will warm you up and can be enjoyed even without food.
So what makes a big red?
Portuguese wines are dominated by a host of different factors, including unique climatic conditions, nuanced and localised grapes, and centuries of history, especially with its maritime and trade relationship with Britain.
